Vikersund har god rutine på å arrangere skiflygingsrenn. Vi har hatt 6 World Cup-renn siden forrige VM (RAW AIR 2020 og 2021 avlyst pga. corona). Men et VM er noe helt spesielt og spektakulært. Arenaen er noe forandret de siste årene, og siden 2012 har det kommet til en fotballhall som skal brukes under arrangementet. Forberedelser er i full gang, de fleste ledere er på plass og vi gleder oss til å fylle tribunene med folkefest!

Transport
How to get to the Hill? We have collected all the transport possibilities to and from Vikersundbakken.
Shuttle Buses
There are shuttle buses that go to Vikersundbakken on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The road is only open for those who have a driving/parking permit.
Bus Route
The shuttle buses go from Vassbonn (YX Geithus) via Stalsberg and RV35 to Nedmarken, on to Vikersund Station, Tangen and then to Vikersundbakken. The buses stop on your signal at all the bus stops along the route and at the Skiflying Vikersund parking areas. From Åmot, buses depart on every whole and half hour all day.
Bus Times
The buses start running at 11:30 and run all day. The gates open at 12:00 every day.
Prices to Vikersundbakken
The shuttle bus costs NOK 50, and you can pay for the ticket with a card, cash, or the Vipps app when you arrive at the hill. If you travel to Vikersund via public transit—keep your ticket, as then the shuttle bus will be free.
Return
The return trip is FREE and the buses run until after the party is over at night.
By Car
Vikersund is located a good hour’s drive from Oslo. From Drammen, it takes around 40 minutes; from Kongsberg, 45 minutes, and from Hønefoss, 30 minutes. Follow the signs from RV 35 to the parking areas.
Parking is free. Shuttle buses run from the parking areas to the arena, and cost NOK 50, with a free return after the event.
The buses start to run 30 minutes before the gates open. The gates open at 12:00 every day. The buses run all day.
Charter Buses
Approximately 45 minutes after the last jump, the charter byses will arrive at the arena to pick up their passengers.
How to Get Home?
Car/Public Bus/Train
Follow the signs to the shuttle buses at the arena and take them back to the parking area.
Charter Bus
The charter bus passengers will be picked up at the arena approximately 45 minutes after the last jump, when the shuttle bus traffic has ended.
